Friday Faves is a weekly blog prompt/series with the opportunity to share my favorite content from the previous week. This week the Pope visited the United States, Baseball regular season is winding down and Bike Blues & BBQ took over Northwest Arkansas. However, I found the time to consume great content. Here’s what I loved:
The cool kids gathered in Harlem for a summit on Periscope. Literally they talked about Periscope while Periscoping. The heavy-hitters were in attendance along with a few of my favorites – Africa Miranda, Brian Fanzo, Shawn Thomas and Nicole Walters. It looked like a great event. I caught as many live ‘Scopes as I could. Hopefully, I will find more on Katch.me later. Read more about the summit >> HERE.
Regina Anaejionu and her friends Jenna and Brittany started a Blog-in-Print (not a magazine). The Independent is a themed publication with tons of articles and information such as worksheets and checklists. I ordered all three issues. I can’t wait to read it. Read about this endeavor >> HERE.
As the world knows, the hit show Empire returned to FOX this week. Yaaaasss! The main character, Cookie, has a rocking wardrobe. I mean, her style is serving LIFE (everlasting). Kudos to Saks Fifth Avenue for creating a fashion line inspired by the characters on the show. Read more about the partnership >> HERE.
After the wildly popular social media meme to promote the Straight Outta Compton movie, Twentieth Century Fox is promoting the upcoming Snoopy and Charlie Brown, the Peanuts Movie with a cool way to “Peanutize” yourself. I created the Peanuts version of me, shown below. It’s pretty accurate. You can peanutize yourself by visiting the site >> HERE.
Fall started this week and the temperatures are dropping. It’s getting cooler outside and the days are getting shorter. One of the best things about autumn is the food choices.
Question of the day.
What is your favorite autumn food dish?
